Day 4 pt 1

Day 5 - 6:56 PM
Short Pump, VA (Outside in Richmond)

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while - the internet was really terrible and at peak hours (when all of the clubbers are using there computers and such) it is all but impossible to get any sort of connection. I'll fill you in until about midday yesterday, and then put that in a second post.

So last night after I blogged, I headed out to play some basketball, but some friends and I changed our mind and decided to play some tennis. My team ended up losing the set 6-4, but all in all it was a really fun thing to do and just relax. Afterward a bunch of clubbers hung out in a mixture of the pool and the sauna. I know what you're thinking - after sweating (profusely) for 9 hours on the bus, why the heck would I ever want to go in a sauna?

It's quite simple actually - being able to relax, be comfortable, and just breathe peacefully instead of being bored or worrying about ruining your clothes makes sweating a lovely experience. So that was a decent portion of the night, after which my roommates and I just kind of hung out and went to sleep, nothing extravagant.

The next morning was another good time. I woke up at about 7:45, in time to catch the breakfast, but as I got up and laid lazily in bed, one of my roommates began to shower. Taking into account the fact that I had to pee real bad, it forced me to get out of bed and dressed in a matter of minutes so I could use the hotel lobby's bathroom. Then breakfast was good and all's well that end's well.

At this point, we're heading to a mildly impromptu concert that DR set up for us at his old high school. We get there unsure of the songs were singing, performance hall, or really anything. We have a basic setlist we're going to go through, and when we get there, it all changes. We set up the stage in about 5 minutes and suddenly we're singing, without a clue as to what song will be next. Everything is at the mercy of DR. The concert goes off without a hitch (a few laughs from a stray moth that was fluttering near the assistant conductor, but thats all), and in 45 minutes, we're all packed up back on the bus and headed out.

This is where I'll leave you until the next post!
p.s. at this point we still don't have air conditioning in the lovely 80 degree southern spring.
